Steve Lichtag, Underwater Film Unit co-founder, is an award winning film producer, director, and screenwriter whose career has revolved around shooting underwater films for more than 25 years. During this time he has built an unmatched team of underwater film professionals from the Czech Republic and abroad.
We’re also experienced open water filming specialists. Get in touch and we’ll tell you why Steve’s nickname is Mr. Shark.
We are happy to announce to be the Czech and continental European representative for the award winning DoP Pete West. Pete has been the director of underwater photography on many projects including several David Attenborough films. He is also the founder of unique Bioquest film studios in Australia.

Our best toy is this Nauticam Alexa Mini/LF camera housing. It’s able to provide incredible protection and care for the most up-to-date cinematic cameras and lenses on the market. Of course it also allows you to have external monitors on the ground and an external focus puller as well - with a maximum range of 45 meters!
